oops, you'll have to forgive me because er...

I haven't a clue who any of you are or what you look like

I can't be going up to complete strangers and saying "Hello, are you Mrs Black X" now can I? I'd probably end up as 'Mr Black Eye'.

Still, it's a pity I didn't meet up with anybody - it would've been nice to have a chat. Next time I'll make an anouncement before I go. Are you drivers, marshals or spectators?

Oh, and Kimi-Mika - I took the photos at Shelsley Walsh hill climb, near Worcester in the UK. It's the oldest motor racing circuit which is still in use (just celebrated 100 years). The VSCC meeting is for vintage cars of all sorts - from pre war grand prix cars and 24 litre aero engined brooklands racers to tiny home made jap engined cycle-cars. It's wonderful to spend a day marveling at the amazing craftsmanship and ingenuity on display.

I've not yet been to Shelsley, but it's something I fully intend to do one of these years.

And therein lies a problem. Shelsley Walsh is in danger, and needs the help of all race enthusiasts if it is to survive.

www.shelsleytrust.co.uk will tell you all about it, but basically, we've got until March 2004 to save the oldest racing track in the world.
