Could be. Depends on how much Sauber need cash.

Option 1 - the Kimi buying a stake in the team theory (not as mich need for cash), Gio as Ferrari nominated driver.

Option 2 - Kimi is in effect the Ferrari guy, Sauber still need cash, Ericsson stays and forms an all Scandinavian Sauber Super Team

The talk now seems to be that Ferrari might be reluctant to release Giovinazzi from sim work, especially if Kvyat is also leaving.

I cannot provide a source for this but I have heard that it may well be that Kimi 'and co' (Ferrari and other Kimi supporters) are looking to outmuscle Marcus and his lot...

Which UK team would welcome a half decent driver with plenty of financial support?

Toto on Ocon's situation: but, but they - lied to me! Maybe they don't like me.

Pretty clear in what he says that Benz still intends to get Esteban into one of their cars - probably showing that other teams have made the right call for their longer-term plans.

Maybe in time Ocon will replace Bottas then Russell will replace Hamilton. If Mercedes are still in Formula 1, of course.

It’s an absolute travesty if Ocon was forced to sit out a year.
But Alonso did it, Massa did it. Two WDC and an almost title between them.
Doesn’t make it any less acceptable though!

What a crazy career he has had in F1.

With all the available young talent, for Kvyat to get a second, or is that a third chance, is incomprehensible. The superlicence requirements needs looking at. Seriously flawed if this guy can get a third shot in F1 while young talent is ignored.

It'd be his second chance, and he's only 24. Hardly old, and he does have talent.
So not sure how the superlicence requirements are 'seriously flawed' due to Kvyat.
