Wonderful, some real crackers amongst them, Peter. I lingered over the Alfa and the bread van at the Classic British Traffic Jam. Thank you!

I'm sure he'll be along soon to give his verdict on your work. I might throw some of mine out there for approval this year, to give people a laugh.

I'm absolutely NOT a photographer (I've always relied on my Le Mans 'copains' for photos), but I've opened up a few of my albums from this year, all from the preamble and all taken with my mobile phone, and not sorted. Apologies in advance for the (lack of) quality, but there are some quite nice snaps amongst the chaff.

An excellent record of the meeting there, thank you. And a great diary of the event too. Never thought I'd say this, but those Ferraris look brilliant.

A few snaps here from the race. Hopefully in years to come I'll feel better about these than I do now. I've certainly got into a rut in terms of taking the same old shots, but also photography isn't something I prioritise at all during the week. Hopefully one year I'll be able to try and shoot the race in a slightly different way.

Good shots there, you certainly got around. Looks like you were behind the barriers rather than the fencing. Also note you are using a 70-200 f2.8. Something I've been considering since, when I was panning at TR I was zoomed to 180mm.

Cheers. Glad it looked like it was behind the barriers (that's always the intention) but it was all from spectator areas. A 70-200 f2.8 is a really versatile lens so would definitely recommend.

Took a different approach this year - only there for Saturday and Sunday and used a Nikon D3300 entry level DSLR and 18-55 and 55-200 kit lenses. Simply tried to get a flavour of the event as a spectator - in T34, up to Tertre Rouge Saturday evening and up to Karting Sunday morning. In chronological order ...

Thanks Gerard and Joe, i'm lucky in my job to be allowed to photograph Le Mans, and shot plenty of track pics during the race, but i think most of these were shot on Tuesday, great atmosphere and sunshine made nice pictures.

Thanks. It's less than 10% of what I took

Now I'm kinda bummed I missed going to the museum after seeing this. I know several of them came out Friday night for the parade but this was a nice collection they had. Even a BMW Art Car.

Here's my Classic British Welcome photos as well as some from displays at the track. I really like that Alpine hatchback that looked like a R5 Turbo.

Like the picture with the Peugeot leading a Toyota - looks like the tree is in the track - approach to Indianapolis or kink before Mulsanne or else where?

Its the first sort of kink on the run between Mulsanne and Indianapolis, shadow in the foreground is the Rolex advert over the track.
