Welcome, expect some of the kind members will help you out with articles and pictures in time but to start with perhaps google some of these names in relation to rallycross Fiesta's.

Keith Ripp, Trevor Hopkins, Derek Scarrow, Trevor Smith, Trevor Reeves, Barry Hathaway, Graham Hathaway.

Early Fiesta Mk1 drivers (already in 1979) were also John Taylor (2.0 Terry Hoyle engine with 260bhp; Haynes of Maidstone livery; 3rd overall TC Division at Maasmechelen on 26.08.1979), Frenchman Michel Forestier (1.6 engine) and German Norbert Köhn (1.3 engine).

Quite a few of these cars were eventually re-shelledf into Mk2 or even Mk3 shells.

In the UK the Fiesta was a very popular car not only in Formula B but mainly in Formula C, loads of them were in there. I can think of Vic Moyce, Ray Greenbank, Chris Bellamy, Dave Ling, Dave Phillipson, Brian Attwood, and the list goes on and on!

Mainly used Xflows but praps the odd one had a twink!!

Am certain Barry was competing in autograss for a few years. He also ran a fairly basic 6R4 with some success in the GpB days!

I dont know if Graham ever ran a Fiesta? I always remember him in Escorts then the RS200

I always liked Hoppy’s Hepolite Glacier livery (1979 and 1980) most with all Mk1 Fiestas. The later used Plasmor livery was not nice. In my 1980 RX Yearbook there is a pic (page 69) of Hoppy using Canadian Stocks (jeans-wear shops) livery in the 1979 Dutch ERC round.

Keith Ripp's was my favourite, winner of my first ever event as well.

I found some photos yesterday from Lydden, but these were taken alot more recently than the Hathaway's and Keith Ripp, etc.

One is a blue/white Fiesta and the other is blue/yellow possibly Jason Stone but I'm guessing ?

The June 1983 Knockhill National Championshp Round had nine Fiestas entered.
I tried to attach the entry list, and some photos, but do not have an
option to add attachments. I will try again during the next few days.

Ex Vic Moyce Fiesta, was powered by a Twincam, Hewland four speed gearbox and front suspension was works spec group 2 with Bilstein shocks. I sold to Dave Ling, it then went on to a guy whose name escapes me, seem to remember he was chairman of the BRDA, the last time i saw it it was on its roof in Hoppys Drop.
