Well, Karthikeyan drove for them as Jordan just two years ago, so that could help with that adjusting period to the team.

Can't see how much racing experience Piquet Jnr would get from a Spyker drive.

that all has to do with money wich has to be payed to Aguri to pay off that contract, he's done more than 3 GP distances so far, so that's not a problem.

But Giedo has claimed he doe'nt want to drive F1 yet, he wants to do more testing before making his debut(wich make sense with Jos Verstappen beeing one of his advisors, remember 1994??)

I'm not all that sure that it would be a good exercise for Nelsinho really, he'd get muich needed race mileage (something that may have held Heikki back whilst he was no. 1 reserve at Renault like Piquet is now) but I have a suspicion that he might find Sutil a bit fast....

Piquet? seems doubtfull...
I don't think Ferrari would allow a Renault test driver to run their engines...

Karthikeyan has been in talks with Spyker, albiet informal ones.

From what I've read around the net, Karthikeyan now seems favourite, interviews from Autosport say:

Honda release Klien to test for Spyker tomorrow, believed to mean he gets the drive, though the team deny it

DeFerran was quoted that Honda is always willing to assist it's young drivers in their careers, even if that includes a loan to a rival team.
Paraphrased of course.

Does Klien have any money? Maybe he is testing so that Spyker could get some feedback for the B model from an experience driver. From what I understand Spyker need a paying driver and I do not believe Klien has any sponsorship money after he was fired from Red Bull. With that said, I believe Karthikeyan will get the seat. I'm hoping Markus Winkelhock gets at least the Nurburgring drive, but that might not happen.

The operative word for Klien being 'loan', as in, he'd remain a Honda-contracted driver beyond this year?

If the pic on F1racing is current, check out the color scheme on Klein's helmet. Looks like a done deal...

Klien is Austrian, so is Spyker sponsor Superfund, so maybe that's where his support is from.

If Klien goes to Spyker based on driving talent then I believe it's a positive step for him. If it's mostly about the money then it's a waste of his time..He looked the part in the car which is a nice looking machine by the way..

Albers may be replaced by..... Albers. It seems he has a very strong case (contract wise) so we may see him back in the car.

He changed the color scheme to that right after he parted ways with Red Bull, so no news there.

Monday we will know. Winkelhock hopes to get at least a one-off. I hope this happens. I was a big fan of his father, it would be nice to see another Winkelhock in F1. Maybe some of Manfred's old sponsors, like Wurth, Liqui Molly & ATS, could step up and help Markus....

Germany is the closest thing Klien has to a home race as well though.
