Perfectly expected that they react in a way. Not that it goes on and on and then taken to review. That then results in a a comment from the stewards that “ The Stewards note, with some concern, certain allegations made in the Competitor's above letter.”

Agreed that it is more extreme (mostly because it went to review with some questionable evidence). Of course doesn't help that we have had a two week gap and everyone has continued to discuss the event ad nauseam. Even my friendship groups who have no interest in F1 and don't know about the review are still discussing it with dramatic 'ohhhhs' every time it is shown on tv. You can just imagine Mr. Marko and Mr. Horner phoning up Mr. Albon and demanding him to replicate the event in the simulator every time it is shown.

I, like you and many others hope this review will be the end of the matter and we get back to racing. God help us if we have another contentious incident leading into the summer break.

Social media will not let it die and when the decision is made and handed down one group or the other is going to re-ignite the fire storm because they think it is wrong.

So aside from the things that make it different, it’s not that different? Red Bull hypocritically whining on the day…yes I accept every driver and team has been guilty of that, Hamilton and Merc included. Taking it this far, with this level of rhetoric? I don’t think that’s in any way typical. I won’t say there’s no precedent, but nothing comparable comes to mind.

Frankly, they were either massively misled into believing that their 'evidence' had a chance of being significant to a review or they were totally blinkered. 'Trumpian' is actually a very good description in my eyes.

I really do feel sorry for Max. I wonder what he actually feels about it (not that he would be able to say).

Now Merc are claiming Max went 1 km/h too fast with 100kg of fuel on board that should have made that all but impossible. I still think the egg is predominantly on RB's face though.
