Er Bernard! It says wind and rain for the 14th

Maybe the BBC will be better - they got it more right for the Measham (well, apart from the sunny bit)

Please do say hello

STEVE (green fabric/aluminium Seven Special Car No. 21)

PS: Don't bother spectating at Ringcombe. Good hills (particularly Ringcombe 2) but no good for spectators.

Doh ! 'Twas different at lunchtime today - why can't weather forecasters make up their minds and stick to them. Hey, ho - who really cares, anyway ?

Sure will make a point of saying hello.

Best place to meet - at the Pub at the Start/Finish.

See you all there.

Duncan

PS If coming to the finish, get there early and buy your Beer in bulk - they get a bit rushed later on!

Yes Duncan it certainly does get rather frantic on past experience

Buying in bulk may well be very good advice

Couple of queries:
1. What time is the start at The Anchor?
2. If I can help in any way, with whom do I get in touch?

Sorry for the delay!!!!

Dear Ex_MAD_O

I've only just picked up my instructions, so sorry for the long wait.

Scrutineering starts at 8.00a.m. tomorrow morning and finishes at 10.00a.m.

If you still would like to help, Ian Horsnell is the chap to look out for tomorrow. Failing that, I'm now i/c Allers Wood MR 181/924 261 in the afternoon, so if you'd like to join us, that would be great (choccy biccies will be provided!!!!)

Look forward to seeing you soon.

First, belated birthday wishes

I spoke to Ian Horsnell the other evening, and he is fully covered for marshals, but I shall be around anyway. May well get to meet you at Allers Wood.

Well, if you were there, you'll know what a cracking day it was today up on Exmoor. If you weren't there, then you missed a great event. Even the sun shone !

Brilliant.

Brilliant day from the spectator's point of view.
Photos to follow.

After dropping in on GoThat Way, we went on to Molland (hill 2), very challenging, then after lunch to Allers Wood where Mrs BugEyed was very much in charge and even managed the job of commentator, great fun.

Quotes of the day:
1. "It's the wrong sort of mud".
2. "I don't like the look of this".
3.

Bernard
Hope you didn't get too bored on your post at the top!

Not at all, Roland. In the (sometimes rather long) intervals between competitors, I spent the time either chatting to the other marshals or just lazing in the sun. 'Twas wonderful !

Absolutely Fabulous!!!!!!!!

What a fantastic Valentine's Weekend. A girl couldn't possibly ask for anything more!!!

Dear gothatway
Great to see you at the end, albeit far too briefly. Glad to hear you had a great time.

Dear Ex_MAD_O
Lovely to meet you especially as you helped out a damsel?? in distress at the same time. Sorry that we didn't get to chat for longer.

Three more quotes:

"John, you need to reverse in to this track and park
John, you need to reverse ..........................
John, you ..........................................
Oh well, that's Trojan drivers for you"!!!!!!!!!!!

"Please don't help if you've not signed on"

"Does anyone have a saw?"

A truly fantastic weekend with the VSCC at its best (well, apart from the rallies, but then, I'm biased!!)

See you all at the POM next weekend.

Pictures available here

As Mrs B and others have said, a truly excellent event. Having sufferred VSCC withdrawl symptoms since the New Years Driving Tests it was great to see everyone again.

Pictures are now online.

See you all at the Pom?

Duncan,

I think your link should be http://lces.fotopic.net/show_collection.php?id=118182

Bernard

Editted to add that Fotopic seems particularly slow these days. Maybe a victim of its own success ?

The Sprint of the Event - on Hodstone, class 1a had a separate start point, the Trojan whirred up, and moved forward to the class 2 start, stopped and scored a perfect 0. It's taking part and it's cheaper than walking.

David

Must see if I can get a ride/bounce in something for the Hereford.
