Rally Cross- Which car would you choose

Which car would you choose to take the challenge to Pat Dran and dermot carnegie in the supercar class?

It would have to be according to next years supercar regs.

I think the car i would choose would obviously be a Citroen Xsara Wrc as driven by Kenneth Hansen. Every rallycross driver who was one of these models are competitive in all championships. I also would think Citroen UK may be willing to back someone as they dont have any involvement in British motorsport at the moment.

If not then the other car would be a Hyundai Accent Wrc. Ola stanvall drove one last year in Europe and was very very quick.

The Saab would be a deffinate no no as the car does nothing but hop on three wheels and seems to have bags of understeer. Only Per EKlund can drive one of those things.

Maybe a new subaru impreza or Mitsubishi Wrc.

The choice is massive, but i wouldnt build a Focus. The cosworth homolgation is up soon so the only option would be a Zetec engine like Gollop has if that route was taken. But Focus's are boring as there are to many Fords already inBritish rallycross.

Id buy that Eivind Opland's Evo6 thats up for sale at moment, give it to Mr Bardy and ask him to give me 800bhp please. That would kick arse.

Deffiantly.....i am surprised that no one has bought that by now as it has been on the market for over a year.

Jokinen's Peugeot 206 wrc is still for sale as well.

Jean Luc Pailler's 2002 Peugeot 206 Wrc is now for sale or rent as he is building a new 206 for 2003.

If any British drivers want a compeitive machine to take on the best this is surely the car to do it. In fact there is no better car available. In fact wouldnt it be great to see this car in the hands of a British driver!!

In fact John Haffey, who is looking for a new car would suit the Peugeot down to the ground.

Just imagine Haffey in a 206 taking on the best of Europe.....we can all dream.

Preferably something belonging to someone else, as I'm liable to stuff it in quite a big way...

I reckon a 750bhp Audi Quattro Sport would still kick ass...

Steinar Joranlis 1999 and 2001 Opel Astras are for Sale now as well. That would be another good buy for a British driver looking for a decent European spec car to race in England next year.
