Mr. Brooks is the same man with Mrs. Linda Brooks behind Nitro Energy Drinks official sponsor of the Nitro Super GP... Let’s hope Super COCHO can save the day and pick up the pieces for the event. Maybe he can swing one of those so no good Supercar sponsors to help out .....

Was pretty sure I heard the chairman of the event (Terry Mackenroth) saying a week or 2 ago that even if they didn't get any money from Nitro that it wouldn't impact on the event too much

So either they weren't putting in too much to begin with, or he already knew they were gone and was just trying to soften the blow

Nitro will still get benefits as the show is still called that Nitro Super GP on google, while the commentators will also likely not understand the semantics of paying bills!

Who else could see this coming?

Well I think when that deal was first announced a bunch of us here on the forum called it for what it was, another Firepower shell game deal. Interesting that people on the sidelines have more sense than those in charge.

Garth Tander, apparently an expert on sponsorship and marketing now.

Also interesting that Tander believes that this event is a v8 event

and has been for the last 3-4 years. Interesting to note that last year the crowd reduced significantly and by the sounds of it, organisers are reducing spectator seating at the venue for 09.

Not exactly a positive correllation for those at V8 World Headquarters
