Marshals Rqd 29th & 30 November Silverstone Stowe

Marshals are still require for the BARC meeting on the Silverstone Stowe Circuit on Saturday 29th and Sunday 30th November.

It should be a good meeting over the two days, with a great raffle for the marshals at the end of each day.

Anyone interested should contact Paul Phillips on 02088 546945 or Karen Coddington at BARC HQ.

I've always said that I might one day put down my notepad and have a go at marshalling, maybe this would be a good opportunity. After all, there's not too much for cars to hit on Stowe. Apart from each other.

OK you've talked me into it. Phew, I nearly had some jobs to do at home, escaped again.

Good to see that some of you will be going. Sign on is from 8.00am both days and they hope to finish mid afternoon.

There should be saloons, sports, motorcycle-engined sports, caterhams, 2CVs and single seaters, so quite varied days.
Hopefully not too many red flags.

How is entry gained, do we need tickets, or can we just turn up. Can only do 1 day, not sure which yet.

You would probably be able to get it, but it would be best to contact Paul Phillips on 020 8854 6945 (as above) or by text to his mobile 07836 293 830.

Sounds good - maybe someone could encourage people to enter the Mallory Caterham/Mono races on Boxing Day while they are there!

Should be better then the last Stowe meeting I did (3 single seaters in one race, and two broke down!). Of course I may have to fit an outboard motor to the bootlid to get there........

I've made this a 'hot topic' in order to try and gather as much interest as possible.

Alan and I will be there. If we have enough marshals out on circuit then we will probably do startline. Please try and not run me over!!

Ugh what a nasty nasty day...... arrived it was cold but dry - and then it rained hard forever - and got no warmer.

Our car had a problem so we never got out - can't say I'm too put out though - racing in an open car in those conditions do not appeal to me vastly.

It was cold, wet and horrible. Glad I decided not to marshal, especially as you didn't get to race!

Thanks to all of you who turned out - it bad bad enough driving it that weather, never mind standing about in it. Throughly enjoyed it though!
