Great photos. What is the ultra-low silvery car on page 2?

I think it's Tim Whellock in his Hardy Special.

Thanks.

I think this must be my cue to get off my backside and actually attend a VSCC event!

Do it - just four days till the next one - a sprint at Colerne on Saturday. Not sure if Tim will make it; ISTR that he had a problem on his last run up Shelsley on Sunday. It's members and guests only - if you wanna be my guest, email me !

Thanks for answering - I'm not always that clear on what the cars are - other that it was a JAP engined special of some sort. There are a few more images in my other VSCC galleries.

You should definately go to some of the VSCC events. The hillclimbs offer excellent viewing, not too large crowds, terrific cars and often very picturesque settings.

And Mallory Park on the 25th, any enthusiast for modern racing who fails to enjoy a VSCC Mallory Race meeting, Edwardians and all, needs his prejudices examined!

Saw Tim last night - he did indeed have a problem (actually on his first timed run) he had to be pushed over the finish line after losing a couple of teeth from the crank-camshaft drive. Fortunately valves stayed away from pistons. He's determined to have it running for VSCC Prescott.
