Drifty, you are absolved. I promise to be good over the weekend.
Simon, thanks for the double-check. I am mystified. I didn't realise that Dupont was Swiss. There is one more Siffert car in the chassis listing, B71.71.18 which just says "SIFFERT (HUNCH)". Should we assume this means Siffert bought the car on a hunch that he might be able to sell it? He bought the car on behalf of a man called Hunch? He sold the car to a man with a hunch? Did Dupont have a hunch? Anyone have a hunch? |

J. John Gray ('B19') U. Wicky Racing: Michel Dupont ('B19') AH. Jörg Zaborowski ('B19') AI. Ralf Walter ('B19') He also lists Trevor Twaites' B21. This is the first recorded outing we have for Ralf Walter's car. Burton, whose car carried the identity B19.71.10 in 1971 will make his first appearance of 1972 six days after the Nürburgring at Paul Ricard with - I'm predicting - a brand new B21. Dr Lienau - would you now be willing to let me see the document showing the original import details via Mr Sobek in 1971? Email me at allen@oldracingcars.com if you'd prefer not to post it here. |

Very good Peter! The closest I've got is Hundt. It was the Duckhams Oils Racing Team of H. Hundt GmbH that entered Bernd Terbeck's car in 1971 but Terbeck himself appears six places further down the list so that can't be right either.

Question time chaps.
As yet I have seen no mention of any cars being pulled down and rebuilt into Gropa's , but it did happen , how many I know not , I think only a few. Bryan. |

Photographs
Can I make a plea for photographs of B19s please. Ether in period or in historic/vintage racing. Email anything you have to allen@oldracingcars.com or post it here. What I really want are pictures that I can use (i.e. where I have the express permission of the copyright holder to use the picture). I'm doing a summary of the information on this thread and it works best with pictures. Many thanks Allen |

No idea when he actually stopped running the Chevron B19 but he was out in it during 1972 and then in 1973 I spotted him in entry lists driving an Astra and a Gropa. |

Drifty, the car you asked about is shown above from Post #188. Chippy Stross was a Northern speed eventer based in Leeds and who ran mainly at Harewood.
Could this car be the ex-Reg Phillips car seeing as the ad claims that it was "used only for hillclimbs"? |
