Allen have we exhausted the search on the original B19 cars from owners 1-3?
the only car sin period to clarify seem to be the Itailan Trivalletto cars

ive looked thru yr ORC thread and agree there are some cars to be queried in the later 70`- thru the 80/90`s till now to nail full ownership data but it does appear that apart from autosport adverts on 2 or 3 cars getting names to the ads to nail down chassis numbers it appears that reading later 76-80 AS race reports/adverts willnot yield any more data

how are we getting on with Italian Autosprint reports?

There has been a flood of additional information and work pressures have prevented me from getting entirely up to date. In the meantime, here's a review of the questions still outstandning from 4 Feb:

John Bamford
What happened to your B19 after you raced it at the Brands Hatch BOAC 1000 kms 16 Apr 1972?
Any idea where it is today?

Colin Pool (had a B19 in historic racing and Thundersports in 1986)
Who did you buy it from (and when)?
Any idea of its previous history?
Who did you sell it to? (To get confirmation that it went to Richard Arnold at the end of 1989)
Any idea where it is today?

Randall Smith (Petaluna, CA) (had a B19 at Monterey 2008)
Who did you buy it from (and when)?

John Sheldon (raced a B19 in early 1990s)
Who did you buy it from (and when)?
Any idea of its previous history?
Who did you sell it to (and when)? (To get confirmation that it went to Mike Catlow in 2000.)
Any idea where it is today?

Laurence Kessler (US) (had a Chevron B19 at Monterey 2005)
Who did you buy it from (and when)?
What do you know of its previous owners?

Alain Filhol (France) (ran a B19 in historics in 1990)
Who did you buy it from (and when)?
What do you know of its previous owners?
Who did you sell it to (and when)? (To get confirmation that it went to Martin Birrane - but when?)

Dave Garnett (had the B19-Alpina 1975-1980)
Who did you sell it to (and when)?
Any idea where it is today?

Richard Thwaites (had a B19-BMW in 1987)
Who did you buy it from (and when)?
Was it the ex-Bancroft/Scragg B19-Alpina?
What do you know of its previous owners?
Who did you sell it to (and when)?
Any idea where it is today?

Kent Abrahamsson (Göteborg, Sweden) (had a B19-BMW in the 1990s)
Who did you buy it from (and when)?
Was it the ex-Bancroft/Scragg B19-Alpina?
What do you know of its previous owners?
Do you still own it?
If not, who did you sell it to (and when)?

Gerard Larrousse (France) (raced a B19 in 1971 for Siffert's team)
Do you know what happened to the B19 you raced in 1971?

Peter Paul Dürig (Switzerland) (raced a B19 in 1989/90)
Who did you buy it from (and when)?
What do you know of its previous owners?
Who did you sell it to (and when)?

Richard George (runs a B19 in hillclimbs)
Who did you buy it from (and when)?
What do you know of its previous owners?

Gérard Burgraff (Belgium) (sold a B19 to John Hugenholtz in 1992)
Who did you buy it from (and when)?
What do you know of its previous owners?

I only got up to B19-71-18 with that list and there are 52 more cars to go. I'll put up the next list later in the week.

Kent Abrahamsson I am sure was Don Haldenby's landlord and I saw bits of the the Alpina in Dons workshop I recall Don saying it had a 6cylinder alpina engine in it.
As I said in my Email to you Don (who is Stirling Moss's mechanic) also used to work on SM Chevron, he tells a lovely story of rebuilding the engine in the BMW F1 workshops alongside the BMW F1 turbo engines, he worked late and the germans asked him to lock up!!! If you give me the questions I will talk to him.

Just happened to have some 1975 MN open and found a car that hasn't been mentioned before:

"Doug Baillie started late with his latest acquisition, the ex-DART Chevron B21" (MN 15 May 1975 p24. If it's ex-DART, it can't be a B21 as they didn't have one so must be a B19. And as the ex-Aston/Robinson B19 has already gone to Japan, it would seem vbery likely that this is the ex-Regan car.

I've responded by email as I'd like to keep individual AM numbers offline until I've collected more of them and started (I hope!) to find some sort of pattern

Could this be the first ever appearance of a B19 in historic racing?

BRSCC Rufforth April 1977 - the Group Four Historic Racing Car race saw "the Chevron B19/23 of Paul Howarth. This car formed the base of Jonathan Buncombe's Super Saloon Imp, a Tricentrol Super Saloon sticker still visible on the side".

It is the one that opened last year, for convenience reasons now mostly referred to as the Algarve track.

Laurence Kessler here responding to the inquiry above regarding my Chevron B-19 that I own and have raced at Monterey (and through out the states). I've already reponded to Allen, but for other interested parties, the chain of title to me was via Ed Swart thru Andreason. The car has just been reframed and the AM number is clearly visible. That has no relationship to the 08 number on the car.
