Greg998 should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Thanks CTD

Each car costs around 200/300 euros to build. The F1 are of course less expensive (100 to 150 euros).
I buy used or new parts on brickowl.com, bricklinck.com and Ebay.

That is actually not that bad, considering how many pieces you are using!

The retail price of such a model kit is however something completely else

Thanks a lot guys

Here is a little gift, free building instruction for a tiny 6 wheeler.
Not a 1/8 scale monster but a cool 48 parts car:

The System shell works really well for the smooth lines of the 962C. This is my favourite of your current crop of cars!

No accurate steering geometry, no accurate suspension, no working brakes, no reciprocating engine, no realistic gearing at the differential, same old side-by-side driving 'ring box (albeit sequential, thanks to a new part).

For the price it's actually not bad in terms of parts - at a 1:8 scale it's bound to use a lot more pieces than the 1:10-12 scale models for typical flagships, but if this is what Lego think is the "ultimate" in Technic design and functionality then I'll give it a miss.

It should do, because that's probably where the price lies, and it would have had to be signed off by Porsche, although a quick look at some blueprints would imply that the Lego 911 GT3 RS is a little too wide and tall. The packaging is also a cut above regular Lego fare (the last time I saw separate boxes for modular building in Technic was 1999!) and the instructions-cum-information book must have cost a bit on its own.

It looks like a superb display model to me, but I prefer playing with my Lego...

Are those windshield pieces for the headlights? That's literally perfect.

You've got a real knack for capturing the curved surfaces of Group C cars. This might just be my favourite of yours so far!
