Lowndes?

Why do you think that his car is still sponsorless? 4 rounds down already....

Also, John Faulkner was supposed to have signed a sponsor by Hidden Valley, oh well...

But it was good to see Larko pick up the support of a Sydeny rug business. How the bloody hell does Larko do it? Blimey, he must be a nice guy

Sometimes it just depends on how much you are asking for. Maybe Larko was selling the 'stickers' real cheap......?

Fred has not got a good record of doing sponsorship deals. He went from a dominant two car team (Winfield Racing) to failing to run one car for a former champ(Mark Skaife).

He seemed to misread Kmart, but with his mate Howard at Ford they will survive.

Wasn't Lowndes meant to have a sponsor by Philip Island? Anyone have any ideas who is going to sponsor the teaM?

True enough, Fred has failed in this before, he'll probably fail again. He fell into the Winfield money (wonder if Mike Raymond had something to do with that?), but it hasn't been so easy since... as John Falkner finds...

It amazes me that any of them get the money they do. Larko's at it full time selling and providing the sponsor with value. He seems to deserve the success he has there, shame he doesn't have more on the circuit.

But situations can change overnight...

It seems Lowndes team has plenty of money anyway....so will we see better if he gets a good sponsor.
Go Fords!!!

Fred admitted in an interview - 12-15 months ago - that they waited too long when they knew they had to give up Winfield as a sponsor and nobody wanted to touch them because they would continue to be known as the Winfield Team. AA carried the interview from memory.

My gut feeling from what I've been reading is that they have sponsors ready to go, but are just waiting to sign as many on as possible, so that they can come to a final paint scheme, and not have to keep repainting the car every time they sign on a new sponsor. Seems a little strange, but you never know...

for the record I think LOWNDES suck's
for the paint /sponsor now how this just as a though
FTR to fold gibson motorsport to take up factory ford status
the ford sticker mite not come off so eazy
which would be bad for the class because SETON doesn't deserve that

by the way LOWNDES suck's

Ralf. What is ur problem with Lowndes. From what i've seen he's a great bloke, and can do some great things on the track with both Ford and Holden. So just give some examples of how "Lowndes suck's"

Are u baiting me Crash to answer your question no
But plan and simple don't like the guy on or off the track and most likely never will . I know there are a lot of Clowndes fans out there so for that reason I guess I'am public enemy no.1 so I'll bit my lip on this one .
But I still think Gibson motorsport will end up with FTR's money which would be wrong

A classic example of Craig Lowndes was at Canberra where his car absolutely packed it in and died in a critical double points race and within 5 minutes he was out shaking hands and signing autographs for spectators.

So we have a great driver, always smiling...never to busy to stop and sign an autograph or say hello to fans - even the ones wearing the clothes from his old team...yeah sounds like a rotten ol' meanie to me !!

7 rounds down now...and nothing...

What is everyone's latest conspiracy theory?

Ford has decided to foot the bill for the rest of the year?
A big deal to be done for Bathurst?
