Yes fair point, I was only running those off the top of my head in my tea break

Maybe it’s a case of the TBL not necessarily going to a team but maybe someone has acquired it to keep their options open, thinking possibly Team JCT600? It would give them more options on what to run & by whom! Just a thought...............

No that's true it was never finished, but those responsible for now running the MG's seem to thing there was potential to utilise it going forward!

On the subject of MG's expect at least a rookie piloting one

All one knows is when they posted it up.
The complete car shown at Autosport was the car from Brands Hatch GP - the livery was by no means fresh, it was scuffed with stone chips.

It's a shame they didn't have more success - personally I think they were one of the best looking NGTC cars.

So, if Speedworks go to two cars, what are the chances of a Toyota-Speedworks manufacturer team...?

No they don't. But they do have a smart franchise: Tordoff might fit in one of those... especially if the roof is down 🤡

Yes, but that was when he was part of the KX Academy and JCT600 were merely his personal sponsors. Now that JCT600 are acting as his main sponsors you'd expect them to have more of a say in what car he drives.

A-ha!

This off season malarkey sounds like a plot from a far fetched novel. Good read mind! 😁

I know that. The point I was making was, the family business were only stumping up a small amount before (the JCT600 logos on the MG's were hardly prominent), but now that they're effectively sponsoring an entire team (as in the case of the BMW's) then you'd expect them to have more of a vested interest in what they're sponsoring and how it could pay off.

If you have a chain of dealerships then it makes more sense to sponsor a brand you actually sell. People see a BMW win a race, go out and buy one and they (JCT600) stand a chance that some of that money ends up at one of their dealerships.

Fat load of good if you sponsor an MG, win a few races that make people go out and buy one, and all their money goes to rival dealerships!

If a certain Cereal company have the predominant sponsorship on the RS, then JCT may not have to cough up that much. I can’t see Motorbase running a 3rd car in a different livery as they wouldn’t do it for Jordan & Pirtek last year!

Yes but Airwaves didn't have a "Bet you can eat three" slogan hence Jordan having to move to WSR when Shredded Wheat turned up.

I've never seen this slogan on a shredded wheat box and i eat enough of it... And they are wrapped in 2's within the box anyway so doesn't really fit
