Heading down to the local TAB when it opens, and putting some big dollars on Mr Stanaway to win the 2019 championship!

So SVG and GT up against Whincup and Lowndes.

As good as some of the dedicated co-drivers are these combinations are going to take some beating.

Probably the most hotly anticipated Bathurst in some time.

Not sure I would want to be in a GRM car up there!

Not sure about, they've always been the dark horse and outside the usual pack of strong cars and pairings, they been the best of the rest.

If Stanaway is being paired with Richard as his engineer, and they click on set up and the rest, he'll be just as strong as Scott was in the car.

All the best the GT, he did a great job in the time he had, didn't exactly set the world on fire, but showed he still had some fight left in him.

So.... according to AA this week, Bunnings will have a large branding presence on the Team18 Frostymobile this season... along with Orrcon Steel and Actron Air who followed the driver from Tickford...

With Mr Grech gone from the team... and Mr Keed coming along... a full house 888 chassis in the offing... look forward to the first race victory in a Holden

For such a big story, AA sure buried it a fair way into the paper...

The 'only downside' to Tander's SVG partnership
Garth Tander says missing out on racing Shane van Gisbergen is "the only downside I can see" to joining the Red Bull Holden Racing Team driver for the Supercars enduros.

Surprising, I've always heard that Bunnings/Wesfarmers weren't interested in sponsorships of anything

Some companies, including Bunnings & JB Hi Fi, choose not to advertise with sporting teams because it effectively nails them to a side... like if they choose to brand Essendon FC, then in theory anyone who doesnt like Essendon isnt going to shop there...

I presume the deal is a product placement one, store facings in return for Bunnings branding... ala BWS/Sirromet back in the day..

So, what's the knock-on effect here?

If Mega go to WAU, what happens to the supposed Jacobson/Kelly Racing deal? Does this bring Rullo back into the fold?

As well as securing another two years racing fulltime in Supercars, his deal includes the post-driving prospect of becoming involved with the team's management.

was Garry Rogers Motorsport secretly sold ?

what is not addin up is the 2 rec that where handed back why could grm not lease one for this year it is not as if they would not have a car ready for Adelaide

-in-returned-recs/
“Some parties were even trying to put programs together for 2019, but it was just impossible to be able to get that ready for Adelaide

https://www.motorsport.com/v8superca...314387/?nrt=18

while main game teams are able to apply to run additional cars at any round during the year.

That's how I understand Bunnings operate. Never support a team or series, only purchase ad break airtime. Sponsorship is generally only community groups.

I'm pretty sure Mitre 10 with Larko and Supercheap with Ellery was the same. Minimal financial outlay, with multiple suppliers footing the bill in return for small signage and preferred product placement.
