I'm surprised that nobody has mentioned this. I found the following article at crash.net this morning:
http://www.crash.net/uk/en/news_view...=28&nid=104159 The interesting part: "The Michael Petersen-owned race team will also return to compete as a factory-supported operation in 2005 at both Le Mans and in the full American Le Mans Series [ALMS]." Jorg Bergmeister and Patrick Long will be the regular drivers. Nice to see some stepped up competition for AJR. |

tough pick for who is the favorite for the GT2 class championship, Petersen has always been very strong even without full factory support, and AJR is, well, AJR... should be interesting! oh yeah and there's those Flying Lizard and BAM! guys too!

Definitely. And if the Panoz boys get their program sorted we'll have a nice scrap in the GT2 category of the ALMS.

Aw, stinks to see Craig lose his ride. Met him at Lime Rock last year after he gave a crowd of people a track tour, great guy. Hope he'll get hooked up in 2005 then...

I expect he'll be in GARRA next year, but I hope he gets a good drive. He's a very nice guy and always has time for the fans.
I'll have an interview with him on Sunday. It ought to be interesting, considering. PWL is one of my favourite teams (along with the Lizards) and I'm looking forward to a really great 2005 among the GT2 anyway! |

Yeah ..... but which one ? Petersen or AJR ? I fancy the petersen car myself ..... great little team and now with factory drivers . I had a chat with Tom Moore (PR) at LeMans last year and he was full of info and good gen about the team .
There was talk at one stage of them possibly running 2 cars last year , but that fizzeled out ! It would be nice to see them run the second car for Stanton and Murrey |
