Could the punctures be because no one expected such long stints under green?

The race will be won by the car which has the least number of punctures at this rate

Pretty remarkable we are 8.5 hours in and there have been no retirements.

A 5 minute penalty for the #29 Audi. Apparentyl for being too fast. I wonder when the Fords will get the same penalty?

5min of heatsoak with no air moving thru the car...not good.
In the garage, they normally use a blower. |

Telling us the tires are the same for 5 years does little good when this is the first long dry running the current prototypes have had on them.

RLM says that the Audi penalty is because fueling was too quick.

Props to Mr. Baron for the level-headed manner of addressing it. Too many other team owners probably would've flung their heads down the pit lane like a bowling ball over that.

IMSA seems to think the Land team refuelled the #29 Audi too quickly...
Isn’t the refuelling gear homologated for fuel flow rates? And checked/signed off by IMSA before use? Weird... At least its fixable ongoing with minimum time stops to the end.. |

Baron says IMSA never came back and checked it. That may be why he was so calm about it - partially IMSA's fault, but since they've got the advantage they still have to ping them for it.

Man are some of y'all first time Daytona 24 spectators? These punctures Go back to the merge in 2014,when Imsa put down force and more power on the dp's.anyone remember Westbrook getting air born after his rr tire blew out entering the tri oval.in2014 there were failure everywhere.same for 2015 and remember last year?heck even when the corvette DP debuted in grand am it was breaking right axles.this isn't anything new,and Michelin is also having issues on some cars,
