isn't VESA putting the 30th licence up for grabs again if so could a Howard or a Loadsman make the step up or maybe a D'Alberto or PCR expanding?

if Murph did return to WP (which dosn't make sense as his oppertunities for ownership with Tasman after driving, his FV8 team is run using Tasman gear and his resaults don't scream pick me) it wouldn't be HRT i wouldn't be surprised to see Rick move to HRT given how well him and GT were together at the Dealer Team for a couple of years. what ever Murph does i hope he dosn't go to Ford.

The $100k is alleged to be made of an upfront payment of $50k plus parts equivalent to the balance.

Similarly, those teams with drive cars provided by Ford will allegedly remain in place. So for example, 888's drivers each have Ford cars allocated to them, and this will continue.

Ford's requirement for the '09 funding of the non-contracted teams is allegedly not contingent on receiving space on the windscreen as has happened this (and in past) seasons.

Meantime, the 2 contracted teams, are presumably enjoying a significant level of Ford largesse beyond their current level.

The tales around SBR were that Ford were supplying somewhere around $1m per car to that squad... whether in kind, in parts, in financial support for SBRE or similar...

... while FPR is rumoured to be absorbing $6m a season of Ford's funds, up until this season, when it fell to $5m per season (or $2.5m per car)

If these 4 cars are now "Factory" Fords, presumably the Ford dollars on a per car basis would be rebalanced to be the same

Presuming any of this actually happened
Looking to 2009 GTR !!

Are the Ford Dealers really kicking any $s in, FPV kicking in?

Ford Credit is the factory, it hasnt been sold has it?

Is Lowndes the only driver still on the factory payroll in 2009, or is Courtneys contract still current too?

How would Ford dealers be travelling about now, with their headline car out of the top 3 vehicles sold, and operating below last years' levels?

If there is a "Dealer Team" it may just be a branding exercise, although AA's Mr Fogarty reckons he can guarantee it wont be called that brand anyway

Ford Credit's deal is with FPR isnt it? For a multi year agreement. So that brand may continue with Mr Winterbottom's #5 (or is that #1?) car next season. Even if there is a sale, presumably if there is a contract in place, it should be honoured, or recompensed in other ways.

Unless I have missed something, Mr Courtney and Mr Lowndes are both Ford-factory supported drivers in season 2009. Similarly, it appears both personal deals expire at the end of the 2009 season... so it shall be interesting to see what happens after that... not even Marcos Ambrose is on a Ford deal at the moment....

I am curious as to why these lists keep showing a second car for PCR... there has been zero noise in that direction, certainly anyone who followed the discussions with Mr Cruickshank himself in V8X would be aware that the team seems to prefer to use its existing BF in the development series until the budget (i.e. $3m+) can be found.

What might be interesting to understand is what chassis go where in the Happy Tom used car lot... with new cars in the HSVDT and HRT garages this year, there are spares... will RNR & BJR trade up, or keep this year's units?

What is the go with the two Hagemeyer brands - Auslec and L&H?

Has anything been announced for 2009 or is it just a series of guesses?

It was a multi year deal wasnt it, when announced at the start of the season?

It wouldnt be a surprise to see that brand all over the new "Ford Dealer Team" or whatever it is called... keeps the $$ in the FPR family of course.. and there are plenty of brands in the Hagemeyer stable besides those two, real consumer brands like Smeg, Blanco, JVC, Polaroid, Casio and former V8 sponsor Rexel is the parent....

Strong rumour from the powder room nth of the border, is that Will Davidson has signed with SBR for 09 and his brother Alex will be replacing him at DJR in 09.

well my preference would be to see him stay in a DJR Ford, but an SBR Ford is probably the next best thing...

Considering that Mr Winterbottom shall drive a mostly-Castrol-liveried Falcon for Sandown/Bathurst, perhaps primary sponsorship, and the same bloke in the car at each round of the series, is a major drawcard?

At a sponsorship value of <$1m, its not exactly a financial windfall for SBR for whole-of-car for Mr Davison's unit.... unless there are other supporting sponsors (Mistral? ) are also aboard....

SBR virtually pioneered the 2 car, 2 sponsor model in this series... it can be made to work... if the two sets of sponsors are each actively contributing the same shedload of sponduli, and the drivers are of a similar standard/quality.

That article also suggests that SuperCheap is spending $15m a season at SCAR... which would be nice if true...

$15m a year for SCAR?? SuperCheap put in a lot of money into SCAR (hence being called SuperCheap Auto Racing) and adding in all the advertising featuring The Enforcer but fifteen million is bit out there. I love it how journalists pull figures out of thin air-it makes me laugh.
