Ah well, he came 6th, not sure if he spun or got bumped but he had to fight his way back up from 16th so not bad at all, looks like it is between Richard and Bridgman for the title, roll on Snetterton, a wet Snetterton hopefully.

He went through the Paddock gravel on lap 1 after out braking himself. Storming drive back through the field though.

Well obviously i am biased but i think he has done himself no harm at all with his FPA exploits, winning two out of six, podium four out of six, top six in all six rounds, good stuff against a pretty solid field, i doubt very much if he can get the budget together for a season in Brit F3 championship level but i would like to see him pick up a ride at national level, he certainly deserves a full time single seater ride somewhere next year at the very least, mind you how many times have we said that about talanted but skint drivers over the years, anyway, well done Richard, enjoy it mate.

Just a quick question, does he get anything for winning the Autumn Trophy, like a F3 test or something?

Well here we are in a new year then, do any of you out there (some of you far more in the loop than me) have any news on Richard, is he still trying for an FPA drive or something different, all i know is its very quiet and his website is down, not good.

I will keep my fingers crossed and keep asking guys, does anyone have any news at all, to the best of my knowledge nearly all of the FPA seats are gone, i do hope he ends up in F3, i cant believe he would do F Renault again, it is looking bleak though.

Does anyone know if Richard has been racing anything this year, i have checked the brdcstars site and there has been no sign of him in the KZ1 pages, what a shame, looks like lack of cash has scuppered yet another career.

Well there you go, not raced anything for the best part of a year, hops in, three races, a third place followed by two wins, i know Richard is a dab hand round the Brands Indy circuit but does this say more about the ability of the FPA field or Richard and if its the latter why cant a F3 team see it.

Because F3 teams don't give out free drives, and if they did they'd probably be taking Formula Renault standouts not guys in FPA.

I appreciate they dont give out free drives, but what about a test at least, to the best of my knowledge he hasnt even sat in a F3 car, bear in mind that he won the FPA Autumn Trophy last year against guys that had been racing FPA all year, Tim Bridgman, Jack Clarke, Luciano Bacheta of course got into the F Renault Eurocup, i know Will Bratt didnt race FPA all year but Richard beat him, same goes for Nick Tandy, you would hardly call these guys muggs.

Many forget too that Keen had decent race pace in his only WSR round. I agree, he should be in the British F3 National class at least given his CV up to now.

So sponsor him then. You guys know how racing works, it's nothing new.

No it's nothing new. But you know exactly what we are saying. He SHOULD be in F3, but he isn't. Didn't realise it was such a crime to say it's ashame that a worthy driver isn't getting the same breaks that his former sparring partners are.

Don't know if he's seriously considering it for 2010, but he tested the Pro 1000 Race Series Caparo at Snetterton last month.
