Says a lot for the quality of the racing at Williams (or F1 in general) that how they are going to service a non-existent contract and how much money the big teams are banned from spending is more interesting....

Patrick Head back at Williams in consultancy role. I assume interim role until they find a permanent replacement for Lowe. I expect Patrick’s strength here is as a leader of a technical group and being a trusted voice. Given the length of his absence from the sport, I can’t see him acting as the primary voice in technical direction?

Regardless, this is a good thing. They seemed to be coasting/drifting after Lowe’s exit

But as far as this goes, I like it. Having said that I'm not entirely certain what technical input he will have. But as a man manager I suspect he will be influencial.

Exactly.

May have worked better to leave Lowe in place, and bring in Head to tell the upper management not to be daft and spend the money.

Lowe and the aerodynamicists leaving looks like a walk out to me.

Trying to design an F1 with a whole new team of aero specialists who know nothing of the companies internal procedures and equipment seems to be beyond daft.
