2006 Driver Changes
Well someone had to be first. Details were vague, but speculation suggests that a Kiwi has ALREADY done a deal for a fulltime V8 Supercar drive in 2006.
The team is apparently QLD based and the driver is COMPLETELY new to both V8 Supercars or the Development Series, and won't be running in the Development Series this year. This would have to set a new record for one of the earliest driver deals done ever, I would think. I know very little else on the deal

The way I read JDI's post, suggests to me that the Kiwi driver mentioned will slot into an existing team in 2006 ... which, unless it's PMM or TKR expanding to two cars, or SER making their comeback (in which cases GTR's franchise point is well made), suggests that a 2005 Ford driver has his head on the chopping block, whether he knows it or not.
Care to share any more, JDI? I know, I know, can't reveal your sauces ...

JDI would I be right in saying the driver is part of of one make series and that is car is of german origins. Also he has a famous racing last name

I can't think of any Ford teams in Qld who would just toss one of their drivers out in favour of someone with no V8 experience!!!
And most of them have 2 year contracts starting this year.... |

hmmmmmm.... This could be going a few different ways -
Drivers - Matt Halliday (but he is still aiming for a single seater drive in the USA) Andy Knight (Great talent but not a lot of car racing experience yet) Andy Booth (Good talent and plenty of experience in different formula) Brendon Hartley (A definite star of the future) James Cressey (A good history & some interesting connections...) ??? Team - Team Dynamik..... if rumours are true WPS..... depending upon whether Bairdo and/or Bessy move on PCR..... a step up to the big time maybe ??? Speed

Who cares really. 2006 is next year and there is a lot of racing to go before it happens. If you really have something to offer share it with us or dont say anything until you can. These little games you guys here play are really boring.
