Speaking of which, did VD(snicker) and Mygale show off their new cars? Any word on 2004? Fords seems to have fallen out of the spotlight lately.

I didnt any car launches at the Festival Russ , but this year , most of the teams were in the main Pitlane and not in the Bottom Paddock . So it may have been there ?

cheers UKFFORDSTER ....we will all have to keep a eye out then ..

Mygale had an 04 car there, in the Jamun garage, but it wasn't raced only on display.

This had me baffled as I am sure I had seen it but could not remember where. If it was Motors TV must have been 5 mins or less in GP World?

It was in GP World

It was in GP World about 5 weeks ago on Motors TV.

It had maybe 4 minutes of footage in it, and showed the podium.....that was it

It was really poor and a big dissapointment.

No wonder people like ford are not getting behind the championship when it gets coverage like this....

Erm I think you've got that the wrong way round - it's getting coverage like this because it HASN'T got someone like Ford behind it. If it did they'd put the funding in for extra TV coverage so they got more exposure.

Up to 1992 the FF Fest was always on Grandstand - all the heats (and there were 8), qrts, semi and final. Show's you how much prestige its lost..

It started to slide when they went Zetec I'm afraid. It's never really recovered since which is a big shame as for me the FFF was one of the best meetings to marshal every year. Always excellent racing and the sound of the Kent's popping as they decellerated for Druids always kept you on your toes. Back then a group of us used to marshal Post 5 (entry to Druids) and any driver that was unfortunate to visit our gravel trap got a certificate from the marshals as a momento. I wonder how many remain???

It was more than a few minutes - About twenty if I remember.
There's also some festival coverage on the Formula Ford season review DVD (though not on the VHS version).

Is that not the same as the highlights programme that has been showing on Motors TV?
