Key Dates for Historic Classes?
Hi I'm new here. I'm aware of the PreWar age classification, but can you tell me the Post War ones. Years ago it used to be Pre 1966-ish. Also what modifications are allowed. I guess it depends on the club, and if you're going the FIA route.
Why do I ask, I have a project car - an 67 car which was modified in the early 70's. The car was pictured in the standard work on the marque in the mid 70's. The Car - a 289ci engined LWB TVR Tuscan, driver in the picture - Martin Bolsover - who later became Hillclimb champion (in a Pilbeam naturally) and then went CanAm M8 Mclaren racing. |

If the actual car in question has an international competition history then FIA is okay. If not then how about HSCC or Cloth Cap for starters.

"competition history" - pretend it's a Griffith. They only made 27 and most were Grand Tourer's in period. Still to decide to go for:- Back to original Actually a different car or Back to Modified it is still in this state - just unused for 25 years |

HSCC do have a series for modified sportscars (it has a Pontiac in the same series from memory) but it might be too modified for clothcap so in whichcase I guess Heritage GT would fit the bill and if they are supporting the tintops again you get quite good meetings. I would have thought you could potentially be up at the squirty end for a lot less than the Astons currently up there!
