G Tanner should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
French GP + Holidays

Don't book you're time off for the BGP yet. It looks as if the French GP is going to be cancelled and the British GP organisers are looking to move the British race back a week to the 11th.

Not surprised really, July 4th is probably the Euro football final and Wimbledon (tennis). Remember TV is the be all and end all as far as F.1 is concerned.

The French GP has indeed now been cancelled according the the BBC.
They (The French) have supposedly signed a contract with Bernie to resume in 2005 until at least 2009.
This means that the BGP will almost certainly be moved back by a week!

At a guess this might affect the BTCC as well, as they're meant to be at Croft that weekend, as well as supporting the GP!

Calendar clashes already and it's not even December yet *shakes head*

To be honest, I'd rather they had all these bunfights now and get them out the way than wait untill all the volunteering forms had been sent back. I appreciate that the GP and Lemans etc is a bit different, but it's still better to know early.

I totally agree Ethnic, I've no intention of doing the Grand Prix, but last years mucking about wrecked my season! (Well confused it a bit. )

Good move that - hold it on the same weekend as the MotoGP at Donington! Maybe Bernie could fly over Donny on his way to Silverstone & see what a big crowd looks like!
