The 63 did a 3:50.254 about 30 minutes ago. If my calculations are correct, that's the fastest race lap a Corvette has ever done around Le Mans. ...and he's 7th in class. That's amazing.

Sad for the crew of the #3 car. This stop gives Toyota a 6 laps advantage at mid of the race.

GTE is crazy competitive. I'm still rocking my Corvette racing shirt, and they are on the lead lap but it is going to be tough to get on the podium. And why did they change the brake pads so early? are they going to do another pad change at dawn?

Yeah, the poor Vettes are looking OLD the last couple years in GTLM. Just seems like they are always that little bit off the pace.

it was said to be a change of the plank and maybe some floor parts that had come loose.

No, Corvette has always changed the pads as soon as they hit their "pad change window", like fuel strategy in Indycar. I'm not sure why though. They did it in 19 seconds.

He is flying cutting 1 to 3 seconds per lap to Lopez. He's just 50 seconds from Lopez now while he started with 1.30

In a FOX3 interview in Spanish, Lopez said the car was ok, but it's a bit slower in one of the sectors than the #8. He was really tired and a bit stressed IMO.
