750 28/29-06 Cadwell
I would like to thank the 133 marshals that signed on for the weekend on behalf of Cadwell ES Team.
We managed very good weather and lunch breaks on both days. An early finish on Saturday and a reasonable finish today after all the incidents. The racing was excellant. It was nice to put names to faces Once again thank you Pete Howarth |

Heartily agree; very hot work on Sunday but a wonderful weekend to put any other organisers to shame!
Free cola, won the raffle, received new radios each day within literally minutes of requesting ( and a replacement extinguisher!) ; just examples that small can be slick. Good to meet you Pete. Thanks ALL at 750 MC and Cadwell for a wonderful weekend. Worth the round trip although not in bed until 11.30 pm. Go again next year please. |

no need to wait until next year, don't forget 750MC is back sept 27/28 to do the long track. Marshalls at the hairpin did a sterling job, must have been a busy weekend.

133 ! Where did we put them all on the Club Circuit?
I think everyone enjoyed it Pete and it proves we can look after folks properly here at Cadwell (and not just for the 750 meetings). I enjoyed your company over the two days, it has been a long time since we were last on-post together, even if ours was red and mobile (glad we got that seat fixed though). See you Sunday for the BARC event. |

That was my first 750MC meeting and I don't think I've enjoyed mashalling a race meeting so much.
Big pat on the back to 750MC for being efficient and knowing how to treat marshalls with respect. Especially after the Locost debarcal on Sunday, actually ringing each post and ASKING (not telling) if we as marshalls would be prepared to stay on an extra 10 minutes or so, to let them have another go. Well done again, 750 is top of my list in future. Last edited by The Sweeper; 30 Jun 2003 at 19:33. |

It's excellent to read a positive post about marshalling and club motorsport...
But it's not rocket science to get the reciepe right, and the 750MC have got it bang on. (Think Mr No.2 was faced with a fairly large repair bill.. nasty panel to replace) |

Can I repeat Pete Howarth thanks on behalf of 750MC. All incidents were dealt with quickly and on Sat we finished on time. Sun was dotted with red flags and the Locost sent away. We did bring them back at the end as that is the normal procedure if there is time left. If we didn't we may have had problems for dealing with them differently (even though it was their driving that caused the probs, its hard to prove legally) Must go now to send tickets for Pembrey meetings and Formula Student and Ecomarathon.

After nearly 30 years of Marshaling my appetite this year has been more than dimmed, long delays, bad organisation etc etc, we all know things are not what they could be. In fact even a few days before the Cadwell meeting I was toying with the idea of not coming and maybe staying at home with my knitting. However I would just like to add my thanks to everyone at Cadwell/750MC for an excellent days motorsport, good racing, plenty of incidents (at some posts too many!!), the 'Locust' boys were taking the mickey at little bit. But despite that my motivation for good club racing has been well and truly restored and looking forward to the next one - Balders

I should also be taken outside and roundly whupped for telling Phil and Carl(?), infrequent visitors from Mallory that Chris 2 was a quiet post. 10 mins in on Sunday saw the tyre wall go down for the 1st time - TVR, the 2nd time was a kit car, the wobbly driver prompting a red flag. We also managed 5 Stock/Hot Hatch pull-offs through the day. On the whole a great weekend, I just hope that some of the formulas can reign in some of their more exuberant drivers before someone gets hurt. |

Would agree with all comments so far.
Was heard to say "I wonder what will happen to the battle between those 2?" (vee numbers 6 and 8) split second before they locked wheels and spun past post 6. |
