SPARK makes the 2002 'banana joe's' b2k/40...they are resin models, very well made and affordable...here's the link:

Junior Senior should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
I collect 1/18, 1/43 F1 and Saloons, i have nearly all of the Onyx F3 Dallara's [cannot get Bernoldi's Renault..], i've also got quite a few Moto GP items, at the moment my collection stands at around 180 pieces. Probably my best model is the 1/18 scale 1996 Minichamps Schumacher Ferrari "My first win for Ferrari" complete with rain tyres, which i bought brand new. On CStudios website it would cost over £300 to buy now...... i'm in two minds whether to cash in and upgrade my kart engines with the money i'd get.............. I've also got a lot of early Senna stuff including a nice 1/43 VC Models version of his 93 McLaren on a Brazilian flag base.
Model fairs such as Donington and the NEC are good places to pick up bargains if you are just starting out.

I have been to all my local shops and searched the internet but it seems impossible to find, or i'm just not looking in the right places!
the local model shop here in grantham, portprince models had 1 of them alfa's about 3 months ago, but they have changed hands now, but i beleive there is still a portprince model shop in newerk, notts, its on the high street opposite the castle.

i collect, 1/43 super tourers, mainly btcc, but i have a few german dtm, and super tourers, mainly opels, calibras and vectras. a few bathurst vectras, both vauxhall and holdon vectras, all cleland as the driver.
i also have a varied collection of 1/43 F1 all die cast, the list is to big to write out, and i have a few rally cars, but only a couple.

i am after any btcc cars i can find, but i was getting mine on mail order, but the companys i was using have gone bust, now i dont know any one who is selling them, besides ebay, but thats a lottery, and i have been ripped of on there.

I've collected diecasts for nearly 15 years, mostly in 1/43, although I have some bigger stuff up to 1/16- the main theme is rallycars, mostly 1950s/60s through to 80's Group B- (although there are quite a few outside that theme-60/70's touring cars etc), but I also collect Minis and Group C sportscars. Total must be 5-600 by now, plus a small collection of kits that fit in with the rest of the collection- Tamiya 1/24 Group C, old rally cars, that kind of thing. I've also dabbled in restoring/repainting old diecasts to make things (particularly early 60's rallycars) that aren't available otherwise

Some of the nicest things I've got are a couple of 1/43 white metal handbuilt 60's rallycars I bought a few years back which were painfully expensive, but couldn't resist them at the time-

I started with 1/43 in the old group c days and own about 70 Porsche 956/962 . Im kinda sorry that I started that theme because I never realised that it would be so big !!!

Now I am doing theme's on Courage C60 up to C65 . Panoz open and closed LM cars . All the Riley & Scott Mk.3 and 3C's including the 2000 and 2001 Cadillac because they were Riley & Scott's too . Hans Jochim Stuck , about 50 plus cars for him from all series , touring,F2000,F1,Group C,Group 6 . Thats a pretty big theme too . And my latest theme is all of Joest Racing big endurance winners . Im also a big fan of Brun Motorsports and trying to complete his LeMans 1989 entry of 5 cars . Im just missing car number 17 and then it will be complete on a Walter Brun signed teak base . Anyone got one for me ?

Im not quite sure about spark models . I dont like the rear wing supports , way too thick and the decals sometimes tend to lift off the body . You also need to change the wheels and a little more detail painting is in order . Building them up from kit form yourself is a much better option . I know they can be small and fiddely but I thought that once too .

My biggest pain in the ass is a Porsche 962 that Hans Stuck drove in the supercup back in 1986 . It was gloss black with matt graphite body panels . The problem is that applying decals to a matt surface is not an option cuz you get silvering under the decal cuz the surface is not smooth and traps little air bubbles underneath . You can gloss up the whole model but then it wouldnt look right either . Any solutions out there ?

The Badger, I would assume you use a decal softner before you applly the decal and a hair drier ounce the decal is in place this should get rid of air bubbles.
If your surface is not smooth enough try using MicroMesh, it's a polishing kit for acrylics, plastics etc. If you use the course sheets it will smooth the surface and still leave it dull, but if you go to fine it will give the surface a shine/gloss look.

Just got back from autosport show and bought home the Lola T98/10 test car by SPARK models which noe nicely fits with my other two Lolas. I will make a display stand for all three of them and post a pic of it here when its done. I also bought the Spirit of America Panoz LMP-01 that raced at Le Mans with Brabham - Magnussen and Herta. That model was by ixo.

This is actually the first ixo model i have bought and i agree with you. The detail is of a very high standard, the colours really stand out and the box it comes in is very good too. It is well set out. Now i can put it with all my other Panoz i have!

Here is the link to the ixo site if anyone is interested. The site is one of the best databases for model cars IMO and i think i will be buying quite a few more of ixo's models,
