I'll be wandering around with a little tourist Ireland and Union Jack flags. I know I'm not from either of those countries but I want to support the BRC regulars who are making such a good turnout for these European events!

Pat Doran: News from Belgium.
Latest news from Belgium.....Pat Doran is in the top 10 after first practice and 1 second quicker than Christopher Evans, an excellent acheivement considering this is his first visit to the circuit in 12 years!
Will try and get more updates here as they happen |

George won his heat and piped Evans and Bell. Tatarstans prime minister in the ex-Hansen C4 came in 4th. That puts George on 19th place overall.

George managed the C-final as he classified 16th after the heats, he had a good run but ended up last in the C-final and 16th overall. Well done to him to reach the finals in a 35 car field!

Pat Doran proceeded as best of the Brits and reached the C- final. A good run brought him 3rd place in the C-final. He should do more events as I think he really enjoyed himself with a satisfying result to look back to.

Yeah it was a good weekend for Pat and George. George won two of his heats. I think that placed him 15th so just made it into the C-final but the C-final was won by Kuypers who had the pole position. It looked like the inside line grid position was often the favourite..
In the 3rd heat Chris Evans got a clean run from the front (for the first time) and did the 9th fastest time outright! If he had gotten better runs in his first two heats he would certainly have been in the finals. A bit of bad luck but quite promising for future events! And that overtake in the 2nd heat (I think) around the outside of someone on the joker lap - awesome! I can't recall placings for Nesbitt and Bell. Did anybody notice how much faster they were on Sunday morning compared to Saturday afternoon? Was the track in different condition? |

Best Belgian ERC weekend in many years
Good things:Fastest man on track won it No big wrecks Hard racing Supernationals partytents&placemarkers seemed to be less than previous years Bad things:Stewards decisions That awfull recovery truck, takin for ever to load a car Erikssons unjustified black flag Lets hope the best for next weekend. p.s.Evans did look mighty quick in the third heat,we watched at the end of the "straight",more than matched top speeds of the ERC front runners there. |
