Dutch team Vuik Motorsport were building a TCR-spec A-class. As they didn't think they would get approval from Mercedes, they applied to the FIA to allow it as a TCN car in ETCC. FIA refused as the car would not have national homologation.

I agree.

IMO they should only allow one update in three years. Exception for small updates because of reliability.

It all depends on what the upgrade does and how expensive it is, isn't it?

Agree
This season Kusiri and Moran used 2016 spec Golf's and they beat every guy from TCR China who used new 2017 Golf's. Only Vernay was faster then them.

Looks like TCR Korea is on its way. Not surprisingly as there are 2 South Korean manufacturers already (and at least 1 is competitive). Likely a test day in June then a round in July, September and October. They've got time to build interest but we'll see.

Davidovski will race in TCR Europe because he don't have enough money for two car team in WTCR.

I'm not surprised this is happening at all and I doubt he'd be the only one. Also wouldn't be surprised if Ende went to the CTSCC for a similar reason being one of the causes.

Also, he's not good enough for WCTR.

TCR Benelux saved(???). 5 joint rounds with TCR Europe (which is now extended to 7 rounds). Does that mean they'll have separate races to Europe or have a championship within a championship?

An article on TCR International said there will be a TCR Australia soon?

And the story continues from 2018, with the WTCR, the TCR Europe Series and new series in Australia, Korea, UK and the Americas.
