Team Noske

Mark, has any announcement been made yet regarding naming rights sponsor for next year yet. I thought it was supposed to be this week. Also where are you acquiring next years car or is it a new one being built by your team.

Pete,

Management was still discussing final details of sponsorship as of yesterday.

To be 100% honest I haven't been kept up to date on full details until everything is signed and sealed.

Car wise the team has several options.

So could be an ex FPR or SBR car then? Hope everything comes together soon for you.

What an interesting choice of teams, both reported to have asperations of expanding in 2004 so probally the least likely to part with a car.

I can't read the name of the sponsor on the car. Hope they continue with you though.

Thats refreshing, Pete - I thought it was just me!

Is the financial group just a revolving line of credit like TKR used to have with Allied/MARAC?

mixxer has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
Mark you certainly deserved better in the way of a result at Bathurst after you and MW got the car into 3rd or 4th before it let go. How did you rate your performance at Bathurst this year, were you happy, Ok, could've done better ?

Wright Patton Shakespeare Financial Group is the major sponsor, and indeed are the major supporter of Charlie O'Brien's Carrera Cup campaign this year.

The 2 Marks did very well at Sandown and Bathurst I thought, the speed didnt show at Sandown, but the reliability and consistency did... while the speed was there at Bathurst for all to see... the #9 was on target for a podium had the engine not cried enough

Mixxer,

I was very happy with my personal performance at Bathurst, such a shame the engine drama denied us of a possible podium result. We were really both just doing it so easy until we stopped.

Was an absolute pleasure to drive with SBR, they are a fantastic group of guys and awesome team. Also driving with Mark Winterbottom was brilliant, he is going to be one hell of a driver in the coming years.

I just want to see you in a top car next year Mark. I know you have the talent to do it justice. Is the sponsor you had at Indy any indication of who your codriver would be next year if you ran your own car in the long distance races.

That's ok. I just thought the Indy sponsor might continue in some way with the team.

auxred,

The INXS deal came about from Nathan Lloyd who is the teams public relations guy. Nathan used to tour with INXS as the bands production manager.

Via Nathan's relationship with INXS and the bands manager the deal was put together for the race team.

Our entire team was privillaged to spend the entire Clipsal 500 INXS concert on stage level beside the band. (hidden from crowds view) That was an absolutly awesome experience.

GTR,

And a brand new INXS album due for release in 2004. I believe the album cover or inside cover will also feature the race car. Good publicity...

Very good publicity, and not done before... which is a good proposition to sell to a 2004 sponsor

Mark a bit off topic but it is being discussed elsewhere.
In drivers briefing were you all told if you cut the chicane that you had to come to a complete stop, and then rejoin?
Thanks

Not that this is the same situation, but didn't INXS sponsor Murray Carter when he ran the Netcom Skyline at Bathurst GTR?

I didnt think INXS was involved with Mr Carter, although they did support David Clement with the INXS KICK Suzuki Swift GTi's
