does anybody know any websites where you can download any good sounds of engines used at le mans etc.?

Sorry mate , I dont know . But if you go to www.endurancesportscar.com there is a sound track from a Porsche 911 GT2 from a few years back . It still sounds like music , to me anyway .

I have had recorded hours of sounds at Le Mans. I used a small simple cassette stereo recorder. Recordings are noisy but I hope I will filter them and produce my own CD.
 I just need time of course ! |
