Favourite F1 track
What is your favourite Formula 1 track of all time? Spa, perhaps? The classic Monaco? Or the slipstreaming Monza? Any track - including the ones mentioned above - that have been used for Formula 1 Grands Prix are available for choice. Thanks!

Being modern: Spa.
Not being modern: Rouen. There are more. |

My favourite circuits are Spa and Monaco, just for the history and challenges that the circuits offer.

My favourite track has to be Monaco. It's a real test of a driver's bravery being so close to the barriers and it's a track which every F1 driver would love to win

Spa and Monza are my current favourites.
Spa for the majesty, drama and challenge (though slightly dulled). Monza for the speed and the low downforce running. And the Ascari Curves, which I just adore. As far as old tracks.....there are too many to list! |

Favorites of all time. That is a great question.
The top of the list is the original Nurburing. Nothing else comes close in terms of challenge. I'd be inclined to put the Isle of Man on the list, Watkins Glen, and the original Spa. Monza in its early incarnation was grand, as was Imola. I exclude Monaco in it's recent walled track version, but the early venue was quite different. Of the modern tracks, there is not much to talk about, other than Suzuka. |

Classic Tracks -: Reims & Rouen ... There's something magical & a little sad sitting in the abandoned old stands amidst sweeping majestic scenery, thinking of how awesome some of those races and racers were, and thinking of the passing of the great classic tracks.
Modern Tracks -: Original Nurburgring, Original Hockenheim .. few truer tests of every driving skill required, than these two tracks, in their original configuration, extracted. |

Of all time? Well thats difficult as I have never seen a race of any sort at the old Nurburgring, so I can't include that. It will be the Osterreichring. Very fast, drivers loved it and I guess the fans did too. Only seen one race there, the 1987 race, but that was enough.
My favourite current F1 track, for this season at least, is Suzuka. There is no other F1 track like it. It flows well, is a challenge for the drivers, has elevation changes and produces good races. I used to have Spa as my favourite, but recent changes mean it is no longer a challenge. Whereas at Suzuka if you get the esses wrong, then your lap is seriously compromised. |

My favourite is Spa. I went to the GP at Spa a few years ago and will never forget the first time i set eyes on Eau Rouge. Bloody hell!. Television just does not put over the true scale of Eau Rouge. You really have to see this with your own eyes to believe it. We also experienced the famous Spa weather system!. We where at Eau Rouge with the sun beaming down and looking at the huge tv screen at the track we seen that it was pouring with rain on the other side of the circuit. Brilliant stuff. That place is just like one big opened history book. Such a shame its not on this year

I have, of course, overlooked Silverstone here. How dare I.
Great place to be for the GP every year! |

Montle Carlo for the challenge and the spectle of seeing Grand Prix cars race the city streets.
Monza for the pure speed. Spa, again for the challenge and history. Istanbul Park - proof that modern motor racing circuts can provide excellent racing. |

Classic: Got to be Nurby - 170 corners, one flowing into the other, incredible elevation, jumps, a 1 mile straight - the ultimate F1 challenge
Following behind: Old Spa, Monte Carlo, Monza, Kyalami, Osterreichring, Rouen, Zandvoort, Charade, Brands Hatch...I could go on forever Current: Spa - every corner is challenge, and you have to get every one right. Eau Rouge, Blanchimont, Pouhon, Fagnes, Stavelot - all rank in the top corners in the world Following behind: Istanbul, Monte Carlo, Monza, Suzuka, Silverstone |
