Has he checked about Marc Laboulle?
I dont want to disagree with a guru or anything, but i would have thought that taking it off the Lydden site is pretty conclusive, given that they are promoting the event and it must pain them to remove entires, as they want all the numbers they can get (especially if it happens to be WRC stage winner!!) |

FVR was still in the office some minutes ago and didn’t know about Laboulle yet. I think he is doing his usual "half a marathon" now and will possibly update the entry list for Lydden on RXO later this eve.

And to think not so long ago you had little idea of an entry until you got to the circuit, bought a programme and then waited for Arthur to give the good & bad news!
Any idea why Nottveit is using the RX8? The Zsara looked pretty good at Kerlabo though seen some pics of the Mazda & it certainly looks more developed than Viktor Muziks version. |

what i dont understand is that none of the press releases say that Pauwels won't race, just that a deal has been done for Duval. It's a shame for Pauwels as he has tested at Lydden a fair bit and always comes over for the winter series. Hope to see them get two cars sorted soon.
And agree that it's a shame that Laboulle, and other French guys havent made the trip. Would have loved to see Meslier and Jeanney there too (and some of the div1a cars - fair play to Bossard and Deslandes for coming) |

The French have rarely stepped out of France to compete in the ERC which I agree is a shame. Its not helped this year with a french national round the week before & the week after Lydden but I doubt that would have made much difference. It seems for alot of French drivers & the many fans that follow them their own national championship, which of course is very strong, is of greater interest & importance than the ERC as well as undoubtably being more cost effective. |

Does anyone have the Swift entry list? ACP posted over here that he is running but don't seem on the ERC list. I know he would love to run Steve Hill's EVO 9 given his links to Mitsubishi in Canada.

Last weeks Autosport mentioned that they were trying to get a budget together to run him in Steves old car, hopefully they'll get something sorted out.

As someone with a little bit of knowledge of law etc, i actually cannot understand why you would need a work permit to race in England. They are not working per sé, as they are not getting paid for racing (unlike, say, Petrov in F1). They may need a VISA to enter the country, but that shouldn't be too hard to obtain (might cost a bit).
Plus, didnt Leganov race last year (and win) at Lydden? He's Russian, so what's the problem?? |

I think the problem is visas - and if I understand correctly they're not Russian, they're from Tatarstan (sp?) and that may be treated differently to Russia for visas? I don;t know why getting a visa for here is more difficult than any of the other European countries though? |

I think Leganov has a double passport, I recall reading he lives in the Czech Republic. It will be interesting to see if Timurzyanov and Rakhmatullin will be there though. |
