sat and sun are now forecast at 19c and sunny. But 4c overnight

Looking forward to a fun day, tickets purchased.

Got a feeling Sunday will be a good day for the ford drivers and a bad day for Triple 8 (although possibly i have that around the wrong way )

having to give them back means you use them and use them hard. If you could keep them in the tyre bank you might not use them or only lightly use them to get a benefit at a future track.

How is that a bad option, everybody has the opportunity to do the same, and it improves the overall tyre bank of the teams.

Seems a waste to use them once and chuck them in the bin. Not really a cost saving measure or ecologically sound practice.

they already have the option to do that. So all you are saying is do the same, therefore no real gain and fridays practise gives us nothing which is the current complaint.

The teams have no shortage of practise tyres (outside of LDM) as we stand

and they wont be used once, they will be used multiple times during the day

Plus the tyres they use in the first two races will have less kms on them than the set of practise tyres.

prac two is over and Chaz has come out on top, his team mate brings up the other end nearly (19th) and he has not been close all day. maybe that's the plan

Chaz apparently was quick on hard tyres at the end while many others were on some used softs.

Not sure if the new tyre plan made any difference

the mirrors will be rubbing on the ground, but a hot lap around any track in any car is always a bit of fun. especially in the hands of a professional

You can count on 1 hand the amount of times over the past few years where T888 have struggled for car speed at a round and the Ford boys conversely have great car speed. These are those moments over a season where the likes of Frosty have to make the most of it or he's never going to get that #1 on his car.

We'll have to wait and see what new ways PRA could potentially **** away a large points haul.

Wonder how Mr Seton might go in one of Mr French's new Oscar Fiorinotto-built TCM Mustangs, instead of his current TCM mount?

He'd be well and truely up the pointy end, if past ventures into TCM are anything to go by.

The guy certainly hasn't forgotten how to pedal, it's just the likes of V8SC have moved away from that era of drivers.
