Hi ya'll,

Unfortunately this thread has been had to be plucked from the forum for reasons fairly obvious to everyone who read it. I really don't like to do this, but such is the way the world works, and it is probably best for everyone involved that that thread be pulled. Ross is overseas at the moment, and not feeling the best.

Seems Procar think the same, I can not find any forums at all over there. I wanted to have another read of it, did anyone keep a copy, it is just for my own read not for distribution.

I think, and probably the lawyers too, it is probably on the defamation side of freedom of speech. It's fair enough to tell the truth, but some of the stuff in there was over stepping the line...

There is obviously more to the story than what Mr Palmer shared with us. If even half the stuff discussed is even remotely close to being a smidgin correct, there is reason for concern. Except not on here.

I think the official line at the moment is hackers/security breach - more details on v8central anyway.

Crash, I didnt realise it was a cut n paste job, must of been way out there for it to get pulled ? probably is a good thing though Id rather have the forum than just 1 thread if you know what I mean

It was a few hours after THAT article was posted on the PROCAR forums. I forget the read count, but it was probably in the teens with no replies. When I next visited the forums they didn't exist, no pages, no directory, no links on the PROCAR site, no nuffink

So it's pretty obvious it was a properly managed removal not just a hacker or folder deletion

laser - Do you think the Procar forums were hit by the persons RossP was referring to in the article cause I only read that article on here yesterday around midday.?

I highly doubt it - as I said, from what I can see the forums were removed, not hacked. I can show you what a forum looks like when it's hacked

(look at the Jason Bright website) but the PROCAR one is just gorn!
