Volvo would welcome a return to the USA on the World Touring Car Championship calendar

But it's not a priority for the WTCC’s newest manufacturer Citroën, which doesn’t have a presence in the US market, nor was it a priority for Honda (IndyCar, IMSA)

Promoter Francois Ribeiro says it would need a high profile driver to draw the fans to the event

No it's not Simona de Silvestro, or Sabine Schmitz, much less Pippa Mann.

He means Danica Patrick. But she's a Chevy girl, so forget about it.
(Actually, she could enter the Daytona 24, but that's another story.)

Anyway, if Volvo wants to do racing in the United States, they should return to the Pirelli World Challenge.

Back to the WTCC, visiting the United States makes no sense. The V8 Supercars failed, and those are, you know, V8. Who would go to see Pechito López drive a Citroën at Austin or Long Beach?
