Wish they had it running up the hill but pretty incredible to be able to walk all the way around it and have a good look. Seeing McNish/Wollek on the side of it was a little goosebump moment.

Not surprised that the mark was beaten. Don’t really care about F1 v LMP1 speed wars. It’s always interesting to compare laptimes but regardless of slower or faster the LMP1 hybrids have always been more technically intriguing then their open wheel counterparts.

Most likely the program is done save for some demo laps it might do still somewhere. The program has achieved its two goals (beat some F1 record and beat the Nurburgring record). Source

I was going for terrifying! I originally thought Cadwell, but as the long version in Germany had already been done I went for Mallory and thoughts of a ridiculously short lap time.

In the right trim it would be flat out from the exit of the Elbow to Edwina's, or up to the Esses (depending on layout). Can't see it doing the hairpin terribly quickly though!

Maybe you ought to ask them?

Besides some practical problems (circuit is only open for 10 days in a year and can't be reserved like normal circuits), what makes you think ACO would like that...

Yeah there's no way the ACO are letting that near Le Mans for a few years. It might get a demo run one day, but not soon.

I vote for Knockhill. I wonder if it could do a CLR over the chicane.

Demo runs at Brands over the weekend. However Tandy tried do some fast laps anyway. Didn't not break the Indy configuration record which still belongs to an old Champ Car.
