Powder Coated Jag

Anyone who was at the BARC meeting over Bank Holiday weekend will no doubt have heard the story of the Powder Coated Jag. Images are now available at http://www.marshalspost.com/gallery/190.html

Enjoy!

Neil Warland should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Do tell us more (although it does look fairly self explanatory)

Well, it was like this...

We got a radio message warning us that a car was circulating with a possible brake fire.

Then we got a message from one of the snatch crews up at Coppice saying that said vehicle had just passed him and it was "well alight".

The Jag was then put on standby. I went to the pit entrance to signal said car to stop in front of the jag.

Regrettably the driver thought he would be better stopping at his pit. The Jag was scrambled and the inferno quickly extinguished. I had just turned my back on the activity, with the intention of fetching a brush to clean up the mess when I heard a round of applause and hysterical laughter from the pit crews.

It would appear that Crewman Butler (ex West Mids Fire Brigade) had put the powder bottle back in the Jag, minus the pin, and closed the door.

I understand that the main casualty was Brian's lunch.

Butler was later seen hoovering the inside of the Jag with a defective vaccum cleaner - the powder WAS being sucked out of the Jag but because the vaccuum cleaner was already full ...

It was a definite "had to be there" moment!

1200Datto27 has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
That stuff does major damage to car interiors as well, car thieves use it to remove fingerprints from cars that they have stolen, cause it eats away the plastics.

Does interesting things to the crews interior too. Anyone know if they're off the toilet yet?

Shouldn't think so. Neither of them were in the car at the time!
