Blomqvists RS200 was really impressive wasn't it? Some of the other drivers were giving it plenty in their cars as well (that lunatic in the corsa for a start).
The 6R4's sounded great blasting round the track - it would have been good to see all the group B cars on track (not just the rally stage). |

The guy in the Corsa just wanted to see how far sideways he could get it, it was very entertaining. And I loved the Audi Quattro Sport, wheel spin in every gear, incredible!

Good photos too! I haven't got mine developed yet but they're from very similar angles so I must have been stood fairly close to you (at both the first and last corners - it would appear I was unintentionally stalking you!).
I so need to get a digital SLR camera, I took 3 rolls of film and at my usual hit rate I'll have 2 or 3 decent shots per film - with a digital I could just let rip and take loads more shots. |

Digital cameras are great, but my battery ran out towards the end. (Must get a spare). Lots of tarmac only shots early on, till I got the hang of it. I was very lucky with the viwing spot I got, just near the chicane so the cars we not travelling too fast, otherwise the pics would have been a lot more blurry.
2nd batch on their way. |

I was stood roughly half way between the two chicanes so like you I could take advantage of the lower speeds to try and get a better shot. We wandered over to that side of the circuit whilst the Russ Swift stuff was going on so we were able to get a good spot.
I don't get tarmac shots these days - I just tend to get slightly out of focus shots or just badly composed photos. Some of them are OK if they're enlarged and then cropped but the out of foucs ones are just a dead loss. |

The Integrale is on 1989 San Remo colours. I think they never used that colour scheme again, only this one time.
