New owners for Holden Motorsport??
Strong RUMOUR has it that a certain Mr.Crennan and a certain Mr.Walkinshaw will end up the new owners of Holden Motorsport. If I was Mr.Skaife I would be passing bricks through a particular orrifice at the thought of this deal coming off.

And why would they sell it? Isn't this meant to be the official front office for racing operations in Australia.

How can a contract for a team that Skaife owns be passed back to its former owner?
Or maybe I am having a blonde moment? |

There are changes afoot in the world of Holden Motorsport, that much seems a certainty.
There is a school of thought around to suggest that perhaps there will be more than one "Official" factory Holden team, however it seems Mr Skaife's contract precludes such things. If you thought about this for a while, the HSV branding appears on each of the cars containing a HMS engine... all 8 of them... so its not beyond the realms of possibility that HSV plays a bigger role in the motorsport arm than currently enjoyed.... ... the primary issue here however is, as always, the intellectual property... the knowledge and skills and information built up and acquired over the many years of this structure.... I doubt Holden would want to give this away for free.... |

i suppose if it isn't getting used in one place, wouldn't it be better to be used somewhere else? after all, all holden would want is a holden to be winning.

Ask a silly question time... Does Ford Motorsport (or whatever they are called) have a similar set-up? Perhaps the Beehag chassis?

There were 2 Tasman cars at Oran Park, and will be 2 cars next year (apparently...) so there is 8....
Whispers suggest the 2005 pecking order may be a little different however |
