FIA F2 2020 silly season
the 1st bit of news comes in the form of a change of team, we say bye to Arden and say Hello to HWA Racelabs (so no pink cars next year)

BWT lots more sponsor links to Mercedes anyway. Be interesting to see how the team does. Needs change to become a top team. Personnel and attitude. They say Hubert would have stayed but I very much doubt he would.

Will they keep the lady Calderon? She was quite a disappointment this season.

Surprised she didn't fare better. A chap who ran her in the sim at Hinwil told me she was far from the least talented driver they've seen.

Maybe he hasn’t watched her 9 seasons in Europe.

8 year in F3/GP3 - almost always propping up the grid.

So which of the seasoned tuggers, sorry, I mean journeymen will return for the 57th time?
I am hoping we get some proper up and comers sign up and a better depth of talent than we had this year.

Shwartzman and Mick Schu confirmed at Prema.
Armstrong at ART, likely to be paired with Lundgaard
Alesi placed at HWA alongside the already confirmed Markelov
Illott placed at Uni-Virtuosi
Strong suggestion that Ticktum and Gelael to sign up for DAMS.

Gelael again???? 😲😬
If ever a driver required a number of races for performance exlusion. He would make a strong candidate.
If he was going to start to challenge, he would have done so by now. If anything he has gone backwards.
Money money money!
Ticktum has shown he's quick and Autosport seem to really like him. But i think his confidence is still greater than his talent.

Oh dear!
Mazepin, despite being massively overhyped by a certain 'knowledgeable' journalist has been utter pants this year.
Camara might well be choosing between this team and Dale Coyne Racing, if comments in the Indycar forum are anything to go by.

Most of the F2 fans are looking forward to another season of Mahaveer Raghunathan at MP Motorsport.
