Bathurst Historic Touring car thread
First cars on the track this weekend.
not sure if our own David Paterson is running this year (I know he is there , just spectating I believe) any news , info or Updates on practice sessions , qualifying sessions or the races themselves can be added to this thread

Marcus, David Paterson in an XU1 in first practice did three laps , his best time so far is 3.01.9588. The session was red flagged after a monaro locked up a gearbox and blocked the track.Paul Stubber in the comaro has broken the outright lap record with a 2.32.2240 and the next car is Gary Treloar in Camaro with a time of 2.37

Stubber 5.5 quicker in the first session and 6.8 in the second!
 That thing better run out of brakes and rubber otherwise everyone else is seriously rooted.........

20 Garry Treloar (VIC) Chevrolet Camaro
planted the front and tail into the inside wall under the Bob Jane Bridge, after getting on the ripplestrip on the exit of Murrays and getting crossed up and not being able to catch it. Was after the chequered flag was shown too. The TAFE boys should be able to get it sorted hopefully. |

Race was actually red flagged when Hutchins and Hubbard crashed on top of the mountain. Hubbard's car believed to have rolled.

I have heard people saying that Stubber's Camaro will be quicker down the straight than the touring cars. Anyone know what speed he got to?

Does anyone know what kind of speeds these cars were hitting on Conrod.
Stubber was claiming his car would be faster than the Supercars down the chute. |

Unless a TV deal/sponsorship was done (and I dont think it was) you will not be seeing the races on Trackside.
I was informed that Stubber was clocked at 296km/hr on Conrod. I believe that makes him quicker than the V8 Supercars. Last edited by darren holliday; 11 Oct 2004 at 05:08. |
