M.Lowe should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Super National, what cars are allowed?

Apart from the Volvo's and that madmans Mercedes I saw at Croft what other cars would be allowed.

At the moment I am making a 1/43rd scale Lexus model as a Rallycross model and wondered if the real model would be allowed to compete

Lots of different cars

I saw:
  • BMW M3 old model 4 pot
  • Volvo S40
  • Volvo 240 (and 242,244...)
  • Volvo PV (Older then me )
  • Volvo 940
  • Mercedes C class, new and old model
  • Fiat 850 with Opel 16v engine !
  • Subaru Impreza
  • Porsche 911, 924
  • BMW e36
  • Ford Escort
  • Peugeot 306
  • Opel Astra (Few models back, like the one Gary Dixon is driving in the UK)
  • Mazda RX7
  • ...

I Think it's everting goes if converted to RWD. ( The way it should be!)
No need to be FIA homologated (Volvo PV = much to old...)
Engine conversions alowed ( Fiat 850 with Opel engine, Porche with Chevy engine!)

Super National : 2- wheel drived cars without turbocharging, acc 0-100 Km/h about 4,5 secs output, circa 300 brakehorsepower.

Can be front or rear wheel drive.

90% of the current uk and irish rallycross modified field would be in that class.

Check out the site of Knud Ove Borseth, he is building a Lexus IS200 for rallycross.
