Autosport Magazine - Photography

Do Autosport/Haymarket buy photos? I took some shots at Valencia the other day of F1.

But if they do, will they buy F1 or does Bernie have me under the thumb where by I am unable to sell F1 photos to magazines?

Thanks,
Alex

I rather suspect that Autosport (and MN for that matter) would use their usual agency sources for these sorts of tests..

Nice photo!

As David said, they generally have people for this sort of thing, so unless you capture something unique...

They will buy stuff off you if it's considered unique or whatever, so try and get some pictures noone else has.

In fact, I sold Autosport and MN some pictures in November, and still haven't been paid...

Drop me an email Mike - I'll have a look into it for you.

As regards testing, there are of course regular agencies that we use, first and foremost Haymarket's own LAT Photographic. We at do welcome submissions however - please feel free to mail me anything that you think is of interest. If you let me know in advance of your movements that's useful, so that I know who was where when, in case we are trying to track something special down!

Btw Forza, that's great shot. It's worth trying to sell prints online if you can.

Sent you that email Jason

btw, I remember you asking me when you contacted me about the Aston pic if I covered events, I'm in a better position to do that now, so I'll message you with my calender for 2005 if that's OK.

Sorry abit behind on this thread. Thanks...I am fairly pleased with it...I might run it through a few art programs to bring up the colour abit.

I have very similar shots of DC and ones of Sato and Panis although they don't have there brake discs glowing.

Some more high-res examples. If any motorsport magazine/internet site would be interested then please PM.

Sato at highspeed

Trulli's brake discs red

Looks like you've got panning down to a fine art there Forza.

Those are my favourite kind of shots.

I think possibly my best pan is this..

Probably my favourite shot I took at Valencia is..

http://www.f1-jimages.co.uk/valencia_1_0242_rosa.htm

I'm fairly pleased with all my Valencia photos on my website. And to some extent, I'm still learning the vices of the camera and lens.

Like Forza, if any website, newspaper or magazine is interested in my photography then PM me.

It is a shame these 3 are not as sharp and as in focus as the first photo.
