Apparently, the two Trident's managed to hit each other on their out-lap! Ricardo Teixeira really is building an excellent reputation for himself, who would have thought it was possible to challenge Yuji Ide in the lameness stakes!

it really was an act of unintentional comedy genius

there seems to have been quite a few engines go up in smoke so far this year (2 in free practice alone on friday) - is it just that i'm paying more attention and there's a series of unfortunate coincidences, or is there more issues this season?

Adri_tifosi should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Valsecchi and Nunes receive 5 grid positions penalty.

Shouldn't this be a hot topic or is no-one that interested? I suppose who are will be there. The race starts in a couple of minutes or so.

I know where to find Live Timing, but Live Coverage anyone?

Just back from week away and although i missed it on any feeds, judging by the results of this race it must've been quite a significant round for a number of reasons!!

Grosjean is clearly a bit 'flustered' at the moment for some reason? He needs to get a handle on these daft mistkes he's started to make. Is the RDD pressure getting to him?

Valerio has clearly upped his game, ditto the Piquet team which appears to be returning to the sort of form it showed through the second half of last season?

On the opposing hand we have DAMS which apart from the odd top 6 or 8 finish is having a bit of a mare?

And excuse me but 25th to 4th??? how did Perez do that?!!!! That must've been one helluva drive from him and let's hope it's the start of his season proper now!!

True. He has always showed flashes of great speed, but is too erratic to ever do anything with it. At Monaco last year when di Grassi was commentating before returning to a race seat, he said Valerio is 'always crashing'! In British F3 he often drove great races and picked up several decent podiums, but on other weekends he was nowhere. I was stood on the outside of Farm last year, and most GP2 drivers were very smooth coming out of there heading down to Bridge...but Valerio seemed to be getting the back end out and drifting on purpose!! Very good to see him win his first race though, in style too, obviously the quickest guy out there today with a point for the fastest lap.

This guy usually shows it, but seeing as they are already off on the formation lap and he's not showing it, it looks unlikely.

Jesus what's wrong with Filippi? Petrov and Parente absolutely left him for dead!!

Petrov is flying by looks of it, be interesting how far he gets from his current 10th place.... edit. Parente has caught him already!

Maldonado leads from Zuber, Chandhok, fair gap then to Grosjean who has Hulkenberg and Perez closing and then Valerio's 7th and Herck 8th after 5 laps.

Di Grassi just had a major off at Maggotts but rejoined.

Lovely in car footge from Maldonado just now. Surprisingly smooth it looked for him too!

Maldonado steadily increasing advantage over Zuber who has a similar gap over Chandhok.
