I assume its because of all the outgoing expenses resulting from signing JC as a driver.

Something along those lines. Although I'm sure he's said that a few times this year

Just because they've told VESA, doesn't mean they have to tell you yet. Shouldn't make assumptions.

I suppose we will know when the ad appears in 105 or Motorsport News advertising for a cheap P.I. & Bathurst drives. Since a particular teams stable of drivers are already penciled in with existing L1 teams the pilots will have to come from somewhere.

Oh, and by the way, Id be running bathurst in a current spec FPR FG if the right funds are available... and I dont even drive!

It seems that Mr Lowe's development series Falcon is being prepared for the enduros for Mr Lowe and Mr Assaillit. The story in MeN suggests that the car will be painted in similar colours to Mr Assaillit's Fujitsu/DQH car for the events.

The chassis is ex-FPR, and if prepped properly, and the drivers keep out of trouble, could be a top 15 chance at Bathurst!

Funny that its staying in Fujitsu colours... wonder how much airtime it will get?

hmmm, if this is to happen in the future will proof need to be provided that the teams can afford to run it? ie; Give us reasons to let you race, show us proof you will have the funds to race.

This free spot is a wasted opportunity, im sure there are a few teams that missed out on the chance that are a bit peeved now.

I'm still wondering how he gets to make such decisions (not letting another car in, and likewise not re selling the REC.

I sure as hell didn't vote for him.

So that then leaves to be confirmed:

Brad Jones Racing co-drivers (presumably Andrew and Brad Jones)
Rod Nash Racing co-driver (presumably Andrew Thompson)
Greg Murphy Racing co-driver (presumably Tax Douglas)

and also race numbers of the three Fujitsu teams, although Sieders have used 19 in promo art, I presume 47 for Walter/?Douglas? but MW Motorsport could use a bunch of numbers and if memory serves had appeared previously they would use 21?

Taz has been confirmed with Sam since before Sandown, I assume Sam and Taz will run 47 as the art work has that number included on the roof.

It was confirmed in Enews issue 115, they ran an article on Sam debuting the VE and mentioned it in there along with the design, for those that missed it you could also use the below as a confirmation.

Roadways has a long history in the sport, being a principal backer of Steve Harrington (Ian Harrington, former owner of Roadways) and Allan Grice in a series of Les Small prepared Commodores.

Its the very same legal entity, with what looks like new owners.

I somehow suspect the car wont be a rocketship...

Nice looking car.
I just hope that V8SA can learn from the whole Sonic affair and improve this process for next year. I also believe that next year Sonic should be put to the bottom of the list for their 'behaviour' this year. There are certainly some teams which have been left out of the wildcard situation that could have fulfilled their wildcard financially, etc.

Belly13, I have to disagree with you on that comment, V8SA have a good process in place to allocate the Wildcard entries, these being, Applicants must provide details regarding what equipment they intend to use, who will be running the cars, the drivers to be entered, confirmed sponsors, and the available budget. Along with those details, applicants must submit $2500 of the $10000 entry fee, refundable for unsuccessful applicants.

Going by that V8SA covered all bases and I believe Sonic did too. One would assume that Soinc would have had the entry as Washington and Moffat in Washingtons car with his sponsors on the application when submissions closed, 8th June, yet the announcment of Washington departurey came after the closing date, since then Sonic have been trying to secure funding to maintain there entry.

I honestly don't think V8SA could have done anything differently to avoid this happening, it was out of there control.
