V8 Supercars Middle-East Onboard Footage & Engine Explodes [HD]

Thought i'd post these vids on here for V8 Fans. The cars in these video are Chevy Luminas (Monaro VXR8s with a different name). The Championship runs in the Middle-East between Nov and April, the first race for these cars in as support to the Abu Dhabi F1 GP.

I just got back from the first official test days for this years Championship. The old cars (2007/2008) are now running in a Class B (only change is now running on slicks) and there are brand new Class A cars for this season. The Class A cars have LS6 engines, Sequential gearboxes and slick tyres.

OK, they are not quite up to Aussie V8 spec but a big jump from the older car ... and they sound awesome.

I put some onboard videos up on Youtube and also a video of one the Class A cars grenading it's engine in a ball of flames on the start finish straight.
