Couldn't the French spot it before announcing the first set of dates?

It’s not just them. Looking at the various GT/Proto calendars this year there seems to be a lot of avoidable clashes. I know some clashing is inevitable, but there doesn’t seem to be much communication.

How come no-one's mentioned (?) that the stupid pit stop rules implemented for this season look to be demolished for good? About the only positive ACO related news to have come in recent weeks

In addition to that, there’s been some tweaking to pit stops, with tyre changes not allowed during refuelling once again. Thee decision to allow tyre changes during refuelling was originally taken ahead of the 2018 season as an attempt to improve “the show”, but was widely criticised by teams and fans alike, and is in the process of being reversed across the ELMS and FIA WEC for the coming season too.

There will also be success ballast in GTE-AM all across the board in WEC + ELMS, which with the round-by-round BoP means you will have two modes of artificial tweaking working simultaneously. Three if you count waivers. Isn't this real racing great

That's me done with WEC/ELMS. Bar LeMans. No SB there.

I'd rather success ballast than bop every race. They should stick with the original bop and then tell teams have at it. Works for Super GT. Max ballast is only 50kg vs Super GT which I think is higher. If the continued tinkering goes on with it then it defeats the purpose imo.

Not a fan of success ballast. For GTE it really doesn't matter because that's a BoP-fest anyway so it's already wrestling instead of racing. But I hope it doesn't end up becoming a feature in the top class.

Agree if you can't have the ideal original GT1/GT2 concept of strict rulebook without special waivers + standard base weight + air restrictor according to engine displacement + same fuel tank (with values adjusted only in 'emergency'), then the least terrible option is that & success ballast. Because at least, while still artificial, it's not politically manipulated and/or random.
